About This Project:
Originally intended to be a finger-painting robot from a past student, Julia Divan (here), the robotic hand used in this project has been refined and improved upon in order to unlock its full potential.

Restring the hand (replace fraying string with fishing line)

Redesigned the thumb for better mobility
- Replaced pneumatic system with two motors and fishing line

Program the hand to mirror a human hand:
- Used a camera tracking library (media pipe) to determine the movements of the human hand
- Created a serial port to mimic the actions

Program the hand to do various actions:
- Be able to play “rock-paper-scissors” (Program 0)
- Count in binary (Program 1)
- Count up and down (Program 2)
- Sign the ASL alphabet (Program 3)
